Probably not, America, undoubtedly, is large and is likely the most culturally dominant society in the world. People from around the globe read their books, watch their movies, listen to their songs; they have their own sporting events which are watched by millions around the world.
If you’ve been to America and visited different states, you would have noticed how life is different in one state from the other. The fast-paced, buzzing life, of New York, which can either be energizing or draining depending on the person. The warm and dry climate of Arizona is much more brown than green. If you ask an American about it, they will say it’s about the same wherever you go. Sure, the weather and scenery changes, accents and customs change, but people are people. But what do people from other countries think about America or what impression do Americans make about themselves?
Unfortunately, most people know very little about geography and history and it, whether it’s from abroad or our own country.
This delightful British person makes a wild guess about what are the names of 50 American states and what are they famous for. It’s always a struggle to name all 50 states fluently, and probably most Americans cannot name them all. But this British fellow does not only name the states; but also lists what they are famous for. Let see how this guy who goes by the handle @human_not_bees on Twitter manages to name all 50 states without googling.
This fellow now has gone viral naming each state creatively, and it’s pretty funny how accurately he names them. Scroll down to see how creatively he does it.
Seems like Floridians have made quite a name for themselves, being on the news constantly for committing the most unusual crimes.
It seems the British know more about America than Americans, but to be fair anyone would be confused if you have a state named after a city.
How do you think he’s doing so far? I think he has been right about most of them so far. We are only halfway done though, gosh America is huge, no wonder the people there are stereotyped by states. I wonder, if any American would be up for the task to do something similar with Britain, that is, if they stop confusing continent for a country.
He was pretty confident that he could, most of them, right. Got to, admit, he does a pretty good job naming them all and he does it creatively. I tried and failed to name them all without googling. What about you have you tried, if so how well did you do, let us know in the comments down below.
