Boyfriend Spends Entire Date On Phone Call With His Mom, Girlfriend Breaks Up

Some dates are worse than nightmares.

Not all dates turn out to be romantic. Some dates turn us off and we think of a thousand times before dating a new person. A single woman has shared with the Reddit community how her date went with this 30-year-old guy named “Jack”.  One of their mutual friends set their date up. They planned to meet at a café. They had just reached the café and the guy’s mom called him and the guy told his mom that they have just reached and everything is fine.

After some minutes, his mom called again and the guy started telling her everything they talked about. In a 2-hour long date, the guy’s mom called him for 5 times and the guy would recap everything and tell everything to his mom in front of OP. OP was embarrassed so she cut the date short and came back home. After reaching home, she told him that she does not see a future with him. The guy told her bye but the story does not end here. Drama ensued when this girl told his friends that the guy’s mother kept calling him during the date. Scroll down to give it a read.

1. OP went on a date with a guy named Jack. It was their first and last date. Jack seemed normal to OP and they met through some mutual friends.

2. They went to a café. They had only gotten into the café when the guy’s mom started calling him. The guy told his mom that they have just arrived and it is all fine.

3. OP thought it was fine maybe he was anxious or his mom was wishing him luck but within half an hour, his mom called again. He picked up the call and gave an update to his mom.

4. The guy’s mom called three times again within 2 hours and he told his mom everything they talked about.

5. The guy told OP that he is a mama’s boy. OP cut their date short and when she reached home, she texted him.

6. The friend that had set them up asked OP about the date and she told her everything that happened there.

7. When this guy got to know about it, he texted OP that it was private information and that she should have not told people about it.

The guy’s mother should stop making her son dependent on her. She should let him feel the freedom. The guy is being the hypocrite here for telling OP that it was private information and that she should have not shared it with anyone. Wasn’t it private information when he shared everything that happened on the date with his mom?

8. OP was not the constant calling that turned OP off but it was his codependency that turned her off.
