Panther Abandoned By Its Mother Gets Rescued By A Human & Her Rottweiler Dog

Big cats aren’t house pets. 

Even if they belong to the same species as the kitties we love. This is because big cats are predators and they need to hunt. They also need a bigger space to roam around in and get their exercise, this is usually not possible in someone’s house. However, before people call out this woman for snatching away the panther from the zoo where she would have lived a better life, the actual reason behind that is the panther was rejected by her mother.

Nobody is sure why the mother rejected her child but she was in danger of passing away because the little panther wasn’t being fed by her mother. So the zoo needed to do something to keep the baby alive. That is when this woman came in and decided to rescue the little black panther. You can see the whole journey for yourself by scrolling below. Not only that, but the panther has adjusted perfectly to her new environment and has also made friends with the dog.

This is Luna.

She was only a baby when she was rescued.

The woman knew how to take care of big cats.

And there was nothing the zoo could do since the mother had rejected the baby.

So the woman decided to help the panther.

It took a lot of time.

As Panthers aren’t the same as normal house cats.

However, in time, Luna adapted to her surroundings.

And she began to thrive.

Her whole journey is shown in Youtube videos.

And it is heartwarming to see her grow up.

Luna was introduced to the woman’s Rottweiler after she rescued her.

The dog and the panther became instant friends.

And they have remained good friends throughout their journey.

While Luna is adorable and caring, we wouldn’t recommend getting a panther as a house pet. She looks harmless but they can hurt a human quite a bit. This woman knows how to take care of big cats and has space for the kitty to roam around as well. Not only that but introducing a dog to a panther is always a huge risk. So the woman had to be careful as long as the panther wasn’t used to the dog. Thankfully it all ended well for everyone.

And sometimes nap together as well.

Luna is close to being a full grown panther now.

And we can see she is smaller than a normal panther.

Perhaps she was the runt of the litter.

This might have caused the mother to reject the baby.

Whatever the reason might have been, Luna found her home.

And she is quite happy in the new environment.
