We can’t even imagine how many animals get euthanized every day at shelters because they do not have enough space to take care of everyone. And that may sound harsh or inhumane but that is just how life works and shelters have to prioritize animals that will get adopted over senior pets who have a low chance of finding a home. This is why we always preach to adopt or rescue an animal rather than buying one from an unauthorized breeder.
Pets which get adopted are actually more loving since they are thankful towards their human even if they may not fully understand everything. That is exactly why the following pictures are so heartwarming. You see, these people adopted or rescued these pets and the creatures couldn’t be happier after finding their forever homes. Pets can be great companions and help one with their loneliness.

You can see the love on all of these animals’ faces. They know that they would have stayed at the shelter or been lost in the wild if these humans hadn’t helped them. However, cats and dogs are not helpless either and don’t depend on you for everything as they can be quite helpful in other ways. From alleviating your stress to lowering your anxiety, adopting a pet can actually be more helpful to us than the animals in the long term.
