Relationships require compromises.

Anyone who has been in a relationship knows that they don’t always have a happy ending. When we watch films, it usually ends with the two leads getting together and living happily ever after. However, real life is not that simple. And, most of the time, these relationships necessitate a significant amount of effort and sacrifice. Now, I’m not saying it’s not worth it most of the time, but you have to be careful who you put your trust in. You never know what a person’s true intentions are after all. Even long-married couples are surprised when they discover a new aspect of their partner’s life, and they don’t always like it.

That is exactly what is going on in this particular relationship. In-laws meddling in a relationship, as we all know, is never a good idea. While I understand that grandparents want the best for their grandchildren, they do not have the authority to do certain things. People, however, continue to let their parents get away with such behaviour because they prefer to trust their parent over their partner. Now, I’m not saying you have to choose between the two, but it is sometimes necessary to choose the family that will be your future.

The title makes OP sound awful but there is a reason for it.

However, before we get into the nitty gritty, we first learn some background.

Personally, I think people should mind their own business when it comes to religion.

However, this mother-in-law is quite adamant about it and did something unforgivable.

She evidently went behind the father’s back and baptized his baby.

He wasn’t happy with his wife either as she had let her mother do it.

So he decided to stop his wife’s parents from ever babysitting his kids.

His wife wants to change his mind but he isn’t budging.

However, the story didn’t end there and as it turns out, the wife was more involved than we initially thought.

Apparently, they had been doing this for a long time behind his back.

She had planned it all behind his back.

However, she did not expect that he would find out about it so soon.

It isn’t really a mistake if you did it for so long, is it?

Things have really gone downhill in their relationship.

And a divorce might be in the cards in their future.

While I have nothing against any religion, forcing a baby to be baptised without his parents’ permission is abhorrent. They didn’t even have to guess whether his father would approve or not because he had already said no. Did they believe he wouldn’t find out? And how did his wife think it was going to go with lying to him for so long? It’s quite surprising, and I wouldn’t trust my partner if they did this to me. This is not the way to settle an argument. She went behind his back and listened to her mother.

It really is funny when they get a taste of their own medicine.
