Woman Refuses To Give A Dog She Found Six Years Ago To His Previous Owner, Asks If She’s Wrong

There are many unplanned and catastrophic events that can occur in our world, and there are numerous dangers that are hiding. The loss of a dog is one of them. Any pet owner would confirm that it is a stressful occurrence that’s filled with curiosity about what had happened, and dread that you will never see your pet again. The hardest part of not finding the pet is coming to terms with the possibility that it may not be alive. Thankfully, many owners find their lost dogs. In other instances, the stray animals run into caring individuals who are eager to give them a loving home. We have one of those tales about her.

“AITA for Refusing to Give Someone “Their” Puppy Back?” asked a Reddit user. They tried to find the owners but were unsuccessful and decided to keep the dog they found beneath their stairway. After six years, the dog’s old owner reappears and demands the return of the large, adult dog. Who is correct here? Whose fault was it; the person who bought it and lost it, or the one who for the previous six years had given them a loving home, food, and shelter Check out this intriguing tale as you keep reading down below.

The questioner poses as follows

Six years ago, she took in a Newfy puppy she’d found under her apartment stairs after attempting in vain to track down his owners.

She recently uploaded his photographs to a Facebook group, and the prior owner contacted her with a DM

The dog’s prior owner wished to meet with and acquire the pet.

OP became anxious. She found it incomprehensible that he would want the dog she had owned for six years. Even his original owners are beyond his memory. When he was missing, he was just a puppy.

He became enraged and began threatening.

The OP is unsure about the situation

What would you do in this situation, people? The former owner’s insistence on stating how much he paid for the dog most startles us. And every time pricing and pets are mentioned together, we get a little queasy. How is life worth anything? The other is his total ignorance of the previous six years. The dog now has a new owner with whom he has formed a strong attachment. What made him want to sabotage his life? That leads us to believe that the man simply wants the dog back because “he paid for it, so it is his.” Definitely not the dog’s well-being.
