At times discriminative behavior results in us making terrible decisions and that is exactly what happened in the case of Reddit user u/OpenedHouse. OP shared he and his wife had decided to sell their house and downsize so they could save money for retirement. OP hosted an open house and people gathered around. He had a thing for people dressing appropriately for such events so when he saw a woman wearing a tank top, shorts, and flop flops, this triggered him. He assumed just by looking at the woman’s outfit that she was not a serious buyer and asked her to leave.
Later when OP’s wife asked him if a particular woman showed up at the event, he said yes she did. It was the same woman he had kicked out from the open house. Turns out she was a serious buyer and was actively looking to buy a house. The revelation resulted in the couple getting into an argument.

I really didn’t understand what was the need to kick the woman out of the event. It only made things worse for OP as now we know she was friends with his wife. The two may erupt into a fight, we will have to wait and read to see if that happens.
But judging a person by the way they dressed and assuming solely on that factor that she was not a serious buyer is a very foul thing to do. What if she was a serious buyer? What if she had plans to make an offer that same day? We will never know.
