Many people may find this offensive, but I stand by my statement. Simply because you can have a child does not mean you should. Other than ‘that’s what everyone does,’ more thought should go into such a major decision. I believe we are all sick and tired of hearing stories about toxic parents traumatising their children and then failing to recognise that they are the ones who have ruined their children’s future. At the end of the day, they play the victim because, in their minds, they did nothing wrong and everyone else is out to get them.
These parents will never understand their mistake, and if they apologise, it is usually by saying that they did not mean to hurt you and are sorry that you took it that way. The father in this story does not appear to be faring much better. According to the poster of this story, he is extremely selfish and doesn’t care about anyone but himself, including his own children. And, even though OP thought his relationship with his father was going well, he somehow offended him, and that man is now trash-talking his own child. I wish I was making this up.

What boggles my mind is that the OP has no idea what happened. There was clearly no big fight on his end, and he also didn’t say anything to his father. So it appears to me that the man simply does not want to pay up and is now attempting to portray his teenage son as a villain in order to avoid having to ‘waste’ his money. At least, that’s how it appears to me. However, this could be beneficial to OP. His father has made it clear what he thinks of him, so OP should try to have little to no contact with him going forward.

Why do you think the father went on this rant so abruptly? Do you believe it was because of money? Or do you believe something happened behind the scenes that we are unaware of?
