A Master Class On Self Care By Parents Who Are Done Parenting

People only truly realize what a busy life is after being a parent.

We like to believe there is so much going on life. I am talking about life when a person is yet to enter a relationship, find their other half, and have kids. In this life, there are people who are studying, people who are in the early years of their job, people who have started their own little businesses, and so on and so forth. We feel there is so much going on in life and that we are too busy to think of ourselves. There is barely any time to take for yourself.

This is what we think and trust me, we think wrong. We ignore an entire phase of life when we think we are too busy to look after ourselves. That phase of life is what actually makes you busy. That phase of life is what actually makes it extremely difficult for one to take care of themself. I am talking about the phase in which a person has kids and turns into a parent.

As a parent, you tend to enter an entirely new universe. It is an experience unlike any you’ve had before. The responsibilities increase tenfold as your whole life revolves around the child. This is when you barely get any time for yourself as the only exercise you can possibly do is walk away from your kid just to go to the bathroom. It is hectic and can get really hefty at times, but it is a life you chose and you have to accept it and honor it by being responsible. It’s just that terms like self-care stop making sense once you become a parent.

But it would be unfair to yourself if you stop looking after yourself. No matter how squeezed the timeline gets, the parents always have to make time for self-care. It may not be through traditional means and methods but it has happened. Today we have compiled some tweets coming at you straight from parents around the globe sharing their unique ways of taking care of themselves.

I love children, don’t get me wrong. But after going through these tweets, I am lowkey fearing that parenting life. The tweets do sound extremely hilarious until you reach that phase yourself, then those limbs start to shake. Kids are a blessing and I am sure the parents know that. The tweets sure do shower light on how massively the responsibilities increase but I am sure the intent behind posting them was to get a kick out of everyone.
