But that’s just the “good part” of it! Australia is also well known for it’s diversity of scary creatures! From big hairy spiders to the most scariest and weird looking sea creatures, they have everything which will make you think twice before moving there. Don’t get us wrong, it’s a beautiful place but everything comes with a cost, right?
Today, we have compiled a list of 11 scary sea creatures which could actually be a main character in the horror movies! So, are we ready? Let’s start!
Be careful while you go diving into the water because Scientists have concluded that there’s about 1000 types of sea spiders that reside near the shore and in deep waters! Yikes!
That’s one alien-looking fish which doesn’t have a face except for the nostrils and a mouth. The last time this fish was caught was back in 1873 and it lives deep under the sea.
This thing looks like an eye and can be really dangerous! So, be careful whenever you see one of these around you while you are going for a dive.
This is one of the scariest looking fish you will ever witness. It’s razorsharp teeth and dark eyes are enough to scare the sh*t out of you. But the good news is, you won’t come across this fish as it lives 3000ft to 8000ft deep. Phew!
Wait a minute, how did this one pop into the list? It’s not even that scary and it’s an endangered species, sadly.
No sir, this fish can’t be used as a tripod for capturing pictures but it does look creepy for sure and it’s long bones allow it to stand while it’s hunting.
There are more than about 10.5 thousand of these speicies which reside in the water and on the land as well. Another weird fact about them is that some of these species are hardly visible while the others can be very large.
Now that’s one scary looking fish! Their bodies are covered with glowing organs (as you can see in the picture) and it helps them find each other in the depths of the ocean. Amazing, right?
They surely look creepy AF but they are not a threat. In fact, they are useful for the environment as they have the ability to convert soil into humus which improves the fertility of the soil. Last but not the least, their lengths can vary from 0.039 to 9.8 ft.
As gross as it looks, they are not a threat to us humans, as of yet. Deepwater octopuses are usually 8 inches long but there are exceptions. For instance, the biggest one that was captured was about 70 inches long and weighed 16lbs.
This thing looks like it can kill us within seconds, right? But it won’t because it’s not dangerous. However, it appears to be scary though!
Well, the list comes to an end and we are sure that you must be feeling gross and tingly by now but we would like to know which one of these creatures seemed the scariest to you? Let us know down in the comments section.
