Daughter Asked If She Is Wrong For Not Letting Her Mother Take Her Baby

When you don’t maintain a good relationship with your child, you shouldn’t do anything different from your child either. It is a two-way relationship, always. Say if you accuse your daughter of being a terrible parent and then demand to see that very child, I don’t think you should expect an answer of your liking from your daughter. That is exactly what happened in today’s story.

Reddit user u/helllooooo567123 shared she has a son and because both she and her husband work, he stays at the daycare full-time. OP doesn’t have a great relationship with her parents. They have seen her son only a handful of times and also accuse OP of being a terrible parent. Having said that, OP’s mother one time requested to take her son with her to her own house and gave out a detailed plan. Her rationale behind it was to let her daughter take a break. OP simply rejected the plan by saying it made her feel uncomfortable. The mother didn’t like that and the two got into a heated argument.

She broke your rules by kissing your son right in front of you. She could do anything with OP’s son once she takes him away and no one would ever know. I think this is a terrible plan and OP should reject it. Besides, the trip, just by reading it, sounds so exhausting. It will tire out the child so badly.
