Redditor Asks If They Were Wrong For Kicking Out Their Partner’s Dog Who Shredded Their Stuffed Toy To Pieces

We are the absolute happiest when our dogs are around us. And the greatest thing about this animal is that it can influence our mood in a positive way by being physically present, and even through online pictures as well. They will keep our secrets, they will look dumb intentionally to make us happy, and they will stay up all night to look after us when we are sick, they are just perfect.

However, according to one Redditor, dogs are not good creatures and are super annoying OP still decided to put all their differences aside with dogs when they got to know that their partner has a senior dog. OP has a cat of his own and the couple mutually decided that they will never adopt another animal after their pets passed away. But when OP’s partner’s senior dog died, they got another puppy breaking the oath. That puppy did not seem to be on good terms with OP as one day it ripped their stuffed care bear toy apart and they decided to kick the puppy out. This was not liked by the partner.

Here’s what the AiTA community members had to say:

5. Both did wrong.

6. OP could’ve broken up instead of giving their partner’s dog away.

7. The couple got advised to break up.

8. Yes it wasn’t right of the partner to get a new dog but two weeks was too little time given for the dog to get trained.

9. Majority Redditors declared both parties were wrong.

10. The two are just not compatible.

My vote is also ESH. The partner shouldn’t have gotten a dog after the two had agreed that they will not adopt again. It wasn’t OP’s fault that their cat was still alive. That was no reason to declare the situation unfair. And OP was also wrong for giving away their partner’s dog. That’s just so unethical. You cannot take someone else’s child away just because it annoys you. I would just suggest the couple as everyone else has been, should get divorced because that is the only reality the two will live happily in.

11. The two don’t respect each other.

12. The couple needs to resolve this matter by communicating. According to this Redditor, the couple should not jump to extremes like divorce.

14. You don’t call two people in a relationship when they don’t communicate with each other before taking decisions.

15. Redditors also erupted into arguments while deciding who was in the wrong.

16. Breakup would’ve been a much better option than giving away your partner’s dog.

17. I think the couple should listen to the AITA community.
