How could you forget to buy a cake?

I mean I would understand if it was for a relative you didn’t like very much or a complete stranger. But no one in their right mind would forget to order a cake for their daughter unless they had memory issues. Well, apparently this father did just that and then had the gal to get angry at his wife for saving his a** in front of everybody.

However, rather than thanking her, he went on to insult her even more for making him look bad. I don’t know about you but no one in their right mind would get angry with the person who was kind enough to tell everyone it was just a joke. I am sure you are confused right now. Honestly, it isn’t as bad as the title makes it sound.

Well, there is always the fun parent who have no problem spoiling their children.

If he had just been kind, this wouldn’t have gotten this far.

At least she was smart enough to order a cake because she knew he would forget.

Firstly, it isn’t her job to remind him and secondly, he told her not to!

She didn’t make him look like a bad father, he was a bad father.

If he didn’t want to be humiliated, he should have remembered.

All I can say is I am glad he is your ex now.

The dude was seriously embarrassed that his poor behavior was so easy to predict that you had a contingency plan.

Your friends are wrong, but they are coming from a place of sympathy for their friend, and because they want to keep peace in the friend group. It’s understandable, but still wrong.
