In this economy, we all need to save as much as we can so we can rest in our later years. However, that doesn’t mean everyone wants to do this as some people are okay with living in the moment and not worrying about the future. Both of these are valid strategies and I don’t have an opinion on either of those. In my personal opinion, I would say that both of these people are in the right in their own way. It is just a difference of opinion. On the other hand, it is his responsibility since it is his dog. The best thing to do in this situation is to talk about the too-frugal situation so it doesn’t become an argument point in later life.
My cat does a similar thing though he would never even come close to a sink since he is terrified of water getting onto him.
