German Shepherds are quite ferocious.

Even though they look adorable, they make great guard dogs. And there is a reason you will only see german shepherds in the police. Because not only do they have an impossible sense of smell, they are also quite adaptable and are able to follow their owner’s command without any issue. So there is no surprise as to why we love german shepherds.

You might think that all the above traits don’t make this breed a great family dog but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. They can be quite affectionate if the need calls for it and, they’re very soft towards children. So don’t be afraid of getting a German Shepherd if you have a big family as they are one of the most loyal dog breeds around.

Thankfully German Shepherds do not drool a lot. However, they do shed quite a lot of fur which is always a hard thing to manage. But they’re very playful and will get along with almost any person or dog. They do need to be trained through but they take it pretty well and will warn you if there is danger imminent. If you take care of your dog, they will do the same wholeheartedly as they do not have one bad bone in their body.
