Father Kicks Out His Pregnant Daughter When She Gives Away His Cat To A Shelter

Pets are an important part of the family.

And you feel a great loss whenever they get hurt in any way. Some people would even go as far as to say that they are more important than other humans since they never judge you and are always there for you. Well, whatever your thoughts may be on this particular issue, you have to admit that giving away someone’s animal is a bad idea. I cannot even imagine what I would do if a family member gave away my cat. I would probably never talk to them ever again.

Well, that is what happened to this guy when he came home one day. You see his pregnant daughter had been living with him because of some financial issues. And while everything had been going well at the start, things took a turn when he realized that his daughter and his wife had given his cat to a shelter. Why did they do that? Well, the daughter thought that the old grumpy cat would hurt the newborn baby. They did this without talking to him first.

The title makes him sound like the bad guy but the story is more complicated than it seems.

First, we get a little bit of information about the grumpy old cat.

And then we get into the main issue of the story.

His family had sent his cat to a shelter and he was none too happy about that.

And that is why he decided to give his daughter one month to get out of his house.

Did they really think that he would be okay with this? I mean what was the harm in talking to him beforehand? Did she not do this because she knew he would say no? I can’t understand the thought process of the daughter at all. If she cared about her father even a tiny bit, she wouldn’t have shown this extreme sense of entitlement. While I understand that kicking her out was harsh, I can also see where his anger is coming from.

It sounds like a harsh punishment but people seemed to agree with him.

However, a lot of people commented on his wife’s behaviour.

And how she isn’t blameless in this situation either.

But he did mention that she has apologized to him.

There were also a lot of people who advised him on what to do next.

Most of them were just worried about the cat’s safety.

Some even shared their own similar experiences.

I have to agree with the entitlement part though.

Why couldn’t she have talked to him beforehand?

She should have known that this wouldn’t go well.

Most agreed that the daughter got what she deserved.

After all, pets can mean a lot to us and they are a part of the family.

People were quite angry with the wife as well.

But he has mentioned again and again that his wife simply made a mistake.

His daughter hasn’t apologized though.

Cats aren’t usually a danger to anyone.

Especially if they are well-trained and used to being around people.

There were a few people who did not agree with him.

But, he needs to stand his ground.

And it isn’t as if he is throwing her out on the street.
