Employee Instantly Gets A New Job After Boss Tells Him To Quit ‘If You Don’t Like It’

Employees getting underpaid and being asked to work more is a story we have all heard time and time again. Unfortunately, the volume of such stories is only increasing by the day and that is not good news. People are basically being robbed of their hard-earned money.

Today we have got a story for you guys in which something similar happens but the employees decided to bring some maliciousness to the events to teach their bad boss a very good lesson.

Reddit user Xgrunt24 shared on the infamous subreddit “Malicious Compliance” that his boss had not been paying him enough for the work he was making him do and on top of that, he would also make him lie to customers. Things made OP reach his saturation point when his boss told him he will not be getting the 25 cents per hour raise which was promised in his contract. He chose to comply maliciously with his boss’ orders and I am sure you guys know when an employee throws a bit of maliciousness in the mix, things never go well for the bad boss.

Scroll down below to read how it all went down.

1. OP and his manager do not like each other.

2. OP often got asked to do way much work and would never get paid accordingly.

Via Xgrunt24

3. OP also used to get told to lie to customers and he would tell his manager to do it himself as he would never indulge in such activities.

Via Xgrunt24

4. The only reason why the boss couldn’t fire OP was that he was a key player.

Via Xgrunt24

5. OP knew things won’t work like this so he started looking for a new job.

Via Xgrunt24

6. OP did find a shop he could potentially move to but there were no commitments made yet.

7. I absolutely love it when I read this line in stories.

8. On his evaluation day, OP got told he would not be getting the pay raise as promised in his contract.

Instead, he got a new promise according to which his pay will be raised by $1 per hour once he becomes a journeyman.

9. Very valid point raised by OP if you ask me.

10. OP got told to resign if he doesn’t like things. Exactly after being told this he called the new shop he was in talks with… in front of his boss.

11. He got the new job right before his boss’ eyes.

Via Xgrunt24

12. He cut the call, resigned right there, and went to the new shop.

13. OP decided to add some things to the story.

There is no doubt this could’ve gone terribly wrong for OP if the new shop owner had said “no” to OP asking to join. You can say the entire credit cannot go to the malicious compliance, some of this was luck too. But wow, what a beautiful event, so daring and confident. I am glad OP knew his worth and that he took the right decision of leaving the shop for a better opportunity.

OP was happy to answer all the questions people asked. Here are some of them:

14. Electricians are never unemployed.

16. Would really have loved to see the manager’s reaction in person.

Via Xgrunt24

17. The manager kept making comments while OP was on the call with the other shop…that is what made him uncomfortable.

Via Xgrunt24

18. Good to read that others also left this manager on his own and joined OP’s shop.

Via Xgrunt24

19.  But he did not say no.

The internet absolutely loved the malicious compliance. Here are some of the comments shared on the story:

20. Never ever.

Via Xgrunt24

21. This was a good line.

Via Xgrunt24

22. Boss needed idiots to manipulate but nowadays the supply is very short.

Via Xgrunt24

23. When will these bosses ever understand this?

I really hope you guys enjoyed this one. Don’t forget to share your thoughts in the comments section below.
