That’s what we used to believe. The same thought occurred when it came to physical mail, and it did not last long. Nowadays, not many people use email. I understand that using Messenger or other apps can be a bit unprofessional. However, there are now specific applications designed for teams to collaborate and communicate with one another. While email is still used when things need to be more professional, it is rarely necessary unless you work for a very large company with a clearly defined hierarchy.
You may not believe it, but this Twitter user demonstrated this simple truth. You may believe that checking your work email on a regular basis is required if you want to know about meetings and what your superiors are saying, but this is not always the case. And who hasn’t sat on their mail for years? I know I haven’t checked my email in ages, but it’s never caused me any problems. However, this Twitter user took it to an entirely new level.

It’s fascinating to learn about different countries’ work cultures. Many people have stated that if you do not respond to an email within an hour, American companies become prissy, whereas other countries do not usually place such an emphasis on this. People nowadays are far too obsessed with work, and as a result, we burn out at a much younger age. We don’t take as many breaks as previous generations did. This is due to the current state of the economy. So, if anyone has the opportunity to reduce their workload even slightly, they should take it.
