When we count our blessings, we count our dogs twice. They have been through everything with us and never left us alone. They even accompany us to the bathroom, violating all the rules of personal space and privacy. Funnily enough, we don’t mind it either. We don’t mind anything they do. No matter how badly they screw up, we’re okay with it. Dogs are not just our pets, they are our kids that we can’t stay mad at for long.

There’s not a single dull moment with dogs. They’re always up to something and constantly keep us on our toes. Maybe, it’s because they know we love them so they just want to see us smile. They entertain us by sometimes doing something silly and other times by showing us their affectionate side. Although the internet is loaded with pictures of dogs that brighten up our day and make us forget all our worries, we have managed to find 16 photos in particular that really moved us. Dogs are a pack animal. Therefore they enjoy the company of fellow dogs, humans and surprisingly even cats. If you want to know the true meaning of friendship, adopt a dog. They are so affectionate and loyal that you can’t help but love them back. Even if someone is not a dog person, they would start loving them too. Dogs have an outgoing nature and they make friends quickly. There is almost never a dull moment with a dog. They act goofy and make us laugh. We are compelled to think that dogs are too precious for this world. What good have we done to deserve them? Maybe that’s why God sent these little sweethearts in our lives for such a short time.

It was a devastating end to our year. We miss our girl terribly and wish she was here with us staring our 2020.
But that is life, that’s a year. It’s full of bad and good experiences, that includes pain and happiness. I have made peace with it.
