Customers should be respectful towards servers.

We have always heard the phrase “the customer is always right” but is the customer always right? No, some customers are wrong and disrespectful to the servers. They would curse them, treat them wrong, shout at them or pay them a low tip to disrespect them. Some customers are downright disgusting and they feel like they are entitled to insult the servers. Servers deserve all the respect and deserve to be given a good tip. OP (23F) works in a small-town bar and grill where she was insulted by a Karen. Scroll down to get into the complete story.

We think OP is NTA because she has handled the situation patiently without getting disrespectful while the customer is definitely an AH for not respecting a server. “The customer is always right” culture has normalized it for people to insult servers and retail workers.
