The most rewarding yet demanding event in a person’s life can be having children. When one considers the profound changes that motherhood brings about in her body, mind, and sense of self, the struggles of motherhood are not to be laughed at. We also don’t ignore the daily societal pressures mothers experience. Despite this, the mother is ultimately responsible for the kid, and she should share this obligation with anyone who is willing to do so. However, there have been instances where mothers felt empowered to approach, then pressurize, friends to care for their children on the grounds that raising a child requires a village.

This is the circumstance that Reddit user artinthegarage encountered and described in her post on the r/EntitledPeople thread. The Original Poster (OP) referred to the group of mothers as the “Mommy Group,” and although one mother’s idea escalated into a full-on peer-pressure event, it appears that the OP had the final laugh. She recently shared her encounter with a spoiled mother who would not let her decline to care for her three young children and enlisted the aid of her gang of friends to ‘persuade’ her. There are many layers to peel back here, but it’s a very interesting situation.
