If you don’t know what Disneyfication means then you have a huge surprise coming for you. It basically means to draw something in the style of old and new Disney alike. You may have noticed that Disney’s art style is quite unique and different from other animated movies. And while it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, you can’t deny it’s adorable when applied to animals.
And that is exactly what one artist did. Everyone has a happy and apparently the illustrator named Isa Bredt likes to turn people’s sets into disneyfied versions. Yes, it is just as adorable as it sounds. She is a 22-year-old artist and she does this in her amazing project simply called Pet Disneyfication.
So scroll on below to take a look at some of her best work.
Pet disneyfications is something I did very sporadically in my free time for about 5 years. I started because I was and still am a big fan of both drawing animals and the old Disney style.
I am just a very big fan of Disney. The Lion King is my all time favorite movie, I used to watch it daily as a child. I adore the old animal movies; Lady and the Tramp, 101 Dalmatians, the Aristocats.
There was a subreddit where you could offer free art to people. I wanted to practice the Disney style, so I offered free drawings for people who would send me pictures of their pets.
Either this kitty is angry because she had her picture taken or she is always grumpy. With cats, you can’t really tell. What I can say is that this cat looks like one of the villains in every Disney animals centered movies ever.
It is clear from all of her illustrations, she doesn’t care about the background as much as the main centerpiece which is the pets. And I certainly appreciate that. It brings much more focus to the pets when she leaves the background quite abstract.
Which one of these did you like the best? Do you think she did the pet’s justice? Comment down below and let us know.
