What that essentially means is that you shouldn’t rush revenge because it can end up ruining you rather than the other way around. So it is always better to think and plan carefully before you commit to anything. And this lady definitely did just that when her tenants started acting up and started breaking all the rules she had assigned those tenants to follow.
While we read a lot of stories where tenants get to stick it to the landlord, today we have something different. After all, not all tenants are great and many leave the houses they rent in a state of disarray which can ruin the reputation of the landlord and have the property to lose its attraction for future tenants. So when these rude tenants asked the landlord to be more ‘professional’ after they themselves were breaking many rules, she decided to comply with their request.
As you can imagine, it didn’t end the way they wanted.

My landlord managed to take $400 on bullshit charges. We mowed lawn the day before we left, vacuumed and shampoo the carpet, and had informed him our first week that our back door lock was broken, so we replaced it and gave him a key.
Those non problems added 400 to out bill, and he had never added stairs to the 6 ft drop to the backyard, so it was unusable. –Ciels_Thigh_High
