Although it is very true that this type of comedy is not for everyone. Many people tend to get offended by it. Dark humor is definitely not for the faint-hearted because it goes above and beyond. The whole idea is to spot the underlying fun factor that is hiding within the darkness. As difficult as it is to perfectly execute dark comedy, it is also not easy to extract the true joy it brings.
People who are into dark humor use it as a stimulant to recover from the stress they have at work. And work really can take a major toll at times. Dark comedy, just like any other type of comedy is applied to all sorts of subjects. It’s just that you have to strike that balance between the content being hilarious and not being offensive. The artists do their best, the rest is up to the consumer how they interpret the content.
Dmitri Piankov is a talented cartoon comic artist who has figured out the formula that allows him to execute dark comedy with absolute perfection. As mind-blowing and amazing as his cartoon drawings are, so is the humor he communicates through those characters drawn.

Mark my words, Dmitri is going to go places. No offense, but I swear I have seen artists with a fan following as huge as millions, and their content compared to Dmitri’s is literally nothing. This guy is a master at infusing comedy in his work, and that too in a very unexpected and fun way.
With only 100 posts on his Instagram account, Dmitri has gained 6000 followers. This number will soon transform into 6 figures.
