Sure, people will tell you it is the most beautiful thing and that you are growing life inside your body but it is painful and uncomfortable. And those are just some of the normal effects of being pregnant. But humans have appropriate care and doctors that know what they are doing. And while some cats who have homes have that as well. Other cats that roam around the streets don’t have that sort of luxury.
And before you go on to say that they shouldn’t get pregnant in the first place. That is not possible since cats go through a phase of heat and don’t know any better. At least the ones who are wild. So while their kittens sometimes find a home, other times they are not so lucky. But we are here to see cats of the former variety. You see people adopted cats who just looked fat and thought they only needed to diet.
As it turns out, it wasn’t just fat but a bunch of kittens. You can scroll below to take a look for yourself.
Mother was a rescue and we found out she was pregnant with 4 kittens. Here is she with her 2 daughters. Picture from 4 years ago. All 5 cats still with us.
One of my bf’s cat just recently gave birth to 6 cute kittens. Funny thing is they didn’t even know she was pregnant til after she gave birth. She’s an indoor cat so that one time she got out she got knocked up.
A few months ago my grandmother took in a stray pregnant cat, solely because she didn’t want her to give birth outside. I’ve adopted 2 of the 6 kitten litter just a few days ago, they are so sweet and loving!
My dad, a Bangladesh Army Medic, has been rescuing cats for the past year. These are our newest family members. The pregnant mother was rescued from a garbage bin. The kittens were born in our home and are now 5 weeks old. Best dad in the world.
My cat quietly gave birth to 3 kittens while I was playing Mario Party. Here’s a picture of the proud Mother on the day she gave birth.
While all of these pictures look adorable and many people want their cats to have children, this is not healthy and can seriously hurt the kitty ( Not the pregnancy part but the heat part). So it is better to spay your cat before this happens. Because the heat for them is painful if they don’t get pregnant which not many people are willing to let their cats do. After all, there are already so many shelters and wild cats that need rescuing, why add more to the list?
